Nomination FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

What a nomination requires, how list order is decided, and what to expect at every stage — for nominees and for patients.

What is Find Top Dentists? +

Find Top Dentists publishes ranked, city-by-specialty lists of dentists. Every listed dentist is nominated, submits their own credentials and practice details under a signed written attestation that the information is accurate, and is reviewed by an editor before publication. We do not independently verify credentials or licence standing with state boards.

What happens between a nomination and a listing? +

A nomination opens a file; on its own it carries no weight. The nominee completes a questionnaire covering credentials, education and clinical work, and signs a written attestation that what they have submitted is accurate and current. An editor reviews the whole file before anything is published, and may decline it at that point.

Who can submit a nomination? +

Dentists may nominate themselves, or a colleague may nominate them. A listed dentist who wants their profile corrected or removed can ask through the contact form, and we will act on it.

What happens after I submit a nomination? +

Your questionnaire is reviewed against the published criteria by an editor. If it is accepted, your profile page is drafted from your own answers and placed in a queue for admin approval before going live.

Is there a cost? +

No. Nomination is free and placement is free. A fee cannot earn a listing and cannot move a dentist up a list. Where an optional featured placement is offered it is labelled as such and never changes list order.

What information gets published on a dentist's page? +

The profile is built from the nomination: name and credentials, practice information, biography, education statement, areas of clinical focus, and - once submitted with patient consent - clinical case studies. The star-ratings statement collected in the questionnaire is never published; it is used only during the approval process.

What are case studies? +

Case studies are before-and-after clinical results published on a dentist's profile. Each one is submitted by the dentist with a signed attestation confirming the patient provided written authorization and approved the materials for publication. Every case study is reviewed before it goes live.

Can a dentist be removed from a list? +

Yes. Ask through the contact form and we will remove the profile. We also remove content on report - if an attestation turns out to be inaccurate, a licence is no longer in good standing, or published materials lose patient authorisation - and the list reorders accordingly. We do not monitor for these changes ourselves, so tell us.

How should patients use this site? +

Pick a treatment and a city on the homepage. If we rank that specialty there, you will get the list and a profile page showing the credentials and clinical work behind it. Where we do not rank a city yet, we say so rather than showing you something else.
